OKAY what are on your feet right now? What are you most comfy pair of shoes. And what about birks? Are you a purist?
I am bare footed now and if I do spring for birks what kind should I get? The inner child in me wants the zany colors.

I hate having to wear socks and shoes. They make my feet too warm. I like my feet nice and cool. :)

and I am sorry, but I can't recommend anything in Birks. I last bought "athletic" shoes about 6 years ago, flip-flops two years ago, and haven't looked at footwear since. I've never owned birks; my preference is bare feet or flip flops, and when I buy those I just shop for fit and cheap in that order; because what ever I buy I will only wear occasionally.
