I am listening to Peter Paul and Mary...What wingers could learn !

I remember how they influenced me in activism and was so fortunate to have the opportunity to talk a long while with Peter Yarrow when we were guests of VP GORE at the Naval observatory in 2000. He walked up to my husband and hugged my vet husband and said, "Man I tried to keep you out of Nam". My husband cried. I won my first talent show with Blowing in the Wind when I first started singing.

I had all of their albums. I remember when I stood there talking to Mr. and Mrs. Yarrow. Man..if I knew at 13 what I know now, I would not believe it. When Peter Yarrow was in Atlanta he and my hubby talked on the phone again.

I get so inspired to get out there again and do...I told Peter Yarrow that he passed the torch to many of us !

1. I grew up loving them, and

they are still favorites of mine. Although these days, I listen to their collection of kids' songs. We play it in my classroom.

I love all of them, although my 2 favorites are The Garden Song and Right Field.

Right Field never fails to generate misty eyes:

4. I like a lot of their songs

but usually the versions done by other artists. I didn't grow up then so I found out about them through listening to people like Pete Seeger. I was happy to see Peter endorse Dennis Kucinich.
