Things that make you say "WHO CARES?"
The Kobe Bryant Case. If she was indeed raped, I feel for her. But unfortunately, rapes happen all the time. The only reason this one is famous is because the accused rapist is just an athlete who happens. :eyes:

The Peterson case. Again, I'm sorry for the loss faced by Laci's family. But, sadly, murders also happen all the time. The only reason this one is famous is because Laci was pregnant.

Oh, and...

LOW-CARB DIETS. If you want to cut the numbert of carbs in your diet, go ahead. But let me be clear: Your body needs carbs. The only way you lose weight is when you burn more calories than you take in. I mean, if the Atkins diet works for you or someone you know, great! But I have lost 10 pounds this year withiut ditching the carbs. Diet and exercise is for sure the best weight-loss plan.

1. Unfortunately, the Peterson case has been made a campaign issue
So the tabloid press--you know, CNN, etc--can continue trumpeting that local story and still get in some Bush talking points at the same time.

2. here's a question
why are people so damned worked up about the low-carb (note it's low carb, not no carb) diets?

I don't remember this level of vehemence and outrage about low-fat diets.

Oh, and diet and exercise may be a great weight loss plan, except for someone who can't exercise. I lost 60+ pounds on low carb without being able to exercise at all. And my blood levels (cholesterol, etc.) are in great shape.

3. I hear ya
Makes me want to bash my frickin head against a wall. As for the low-carb diet I have 8 words: "get off your fat ass and do something!"

4. That Olsen girl's anorexia/cocaine addiction/whatever.
The Onion's astrologer said it best: "A neurological disorder has you convinced that the sex lives of celebrities are somehow important to you."

5. Reality shows. Crimony!
Why would I want to watch a bunch of real people do stupid stuff?

The appeal of these shows is totally lost on me.

7. Movie box office returns - (except "F-911"). Anything about
Disney or its board members. Basically all that fart Drudge's non-news crap.
