Ever since my grandfather died a few weeks ago, I have had more constipation and bloating problems than usual (I suppose that I should ask my doctor about irritable bowel). I've had what I think gas pains all over my upper abdomen. The pains move around. This past week, they've moved to my back too. I've never had gas pains in my back before. Paranoid (since my grandfather died in emergency surgery to repair his rupturing aortic aneurysm), I've already felt and had my husband feel my abdomen for where that would be. It doesn't seem to be that. I am suppose to have a physical soon anyway. Is there something more serious that this could be than pain from constupation and bloating that needs attention sooner than next week?

similar only more upper gastro. My sons even took me to the hospital emergency a few yers ago and I was admitted and went through the whole stress test stuff. The doctor gave me Pravacol. As long as I take it it doesn't happen but if I try to stop taking it it recurs within a few days. It is very painful and scarey as it feels like a heart attack, pains in back, chest and neck. What I eat doesn't seem to affect it happening and it seems almost like a spasm that the medication helps. While it is happening Maalox and heat help. Get it checked out.
Prilosec not Pravacol! They gave me the Pravacol just in case but I stopped taking that. Prilosec is over the counter now.

It seems like our bodies respond in really weird ways when we suffer grief and loss. I'm sure that digestive upsets are really common types of symptoms. Since my husband died I've had similar problems, to be honest.
I would, if only for your peace of mind, check in with your doctor as soon as possible. You also might want to examine your diet and stick to some nice fresh fruits and vegetables. Try to eat a salad every day, for example.
I hope you're feeling better soon.

maladies.... you're suffering from stress.
4 cups or more of green tea per day for a week will calm everything back down.

are diagnosed by pains in the back. It is probably not that but remember that in case everything else fails.
