Saw a guy in a Bush/Village Idiot shirt at WORK yesterday!
I don't remember ever seeing him before (large office, about 1200 people), but I just HAD to go over and shake his hand and tell him "Well done!"

It was actually kinda funny. Here's this kid of about age 20 or so, telling me to "remember to vote in November". Hahahaha! I advised him that not only was I voting, but I had already volunteered to work at the polling place on election day. He smiled and pointed to the pic of Duhbya on his shirt and stated "This is going to be my first presidential election. We need to send this asshole back home."

At any rate, it made me proud (and a bit envious, I'll admit) that this young man had the balls to wear that shirt to work on "Casual Friday". This was just a week after having to attend a dress code meeting where they stressed that we shouldn't wear clothes bearing any slogans or "offensive" messages.

I'll have to point him in DU's direction on Monday if I can find him again. Sadly, I was late for a meeting when I saw him in the hallway and didn't have time to chat.

No point to this post, really. I'm just relaying some good news.

3. Wow! Good for him.
I have this feeling that it's becoming easier to target Bush and Cheatin Cheney. Now for most of last year, that would have been impossible. I know because at my office, people hung up their little flags in their cubicles, and they felt SO proud of their country. One manager is really overweight. He showed up in an American flag shirt which was too tight on him. He staggered around the office, all 350 pounds of him, while the shirt had gaps in between the buttonholes. But by gosh, he was proud!!!

Now, however, I think the tune has changed. Just last week, the president of the company circulated an email which said that our freedoms are threatened, and he reminded everyone to vote "the correct way" in November. hmmmm

My boss, however, is becoming increasingly beleaguered. He's a die=hard repubican, and he's very upset that lots of people have gone to see the movie 9/11.

I told him we were going, and I was going to take my 3 teenage boys with me. I could see him cringing, and he tried to talk me out of it.

5. My boss is freepish as well...
Not my immediate boss, but the guy in charge of the whole center; the big guy.

We have a monthly work-related newsletter that features a section called "Ask Mike" in which he responds to a variety of questions about our office. About two months ago, he answered a question with this qoute: "As one of my favorite talk show hosts says, 'Let not your heart be troubled'". I nearly shit! (That's a Hannity-ism, BTW)

Naturally, this guy makes six-plus figures per year, so I wasn't all that surprised. To be honest, though, he deserves it. When I joined the company six years ago, we had a staff of about 100 people. I like the guy and don't begrudge him his salary at all. I was just disappointed to find out that he's a Shit-For-Brains Hannity fan.

<sigh>

4. I think its great that this young man is only
20 and so interested in the future of our country---and not brainwashed. That's great to hear!

6. So, does this mean that you CAN'T
wear the T-shirt that reads "Stop bitchin', start a revolution" any time soon?
