I've put Will Pitt in a food coma!
His arteries are completely blocked...he can't keep his eyes open. It was the swordfish, fettuccine alfredo, fresh corn, lasagna, salad, cheese/tomato pie, cheese bread, choc. chip cookies (homemade) for dinner tonight that did it. I can't seem to wake him up. I'll have to roll him home tomorrow. Oh, did I mention the beers? :-) This is obviously an example of pent up mother love.

My brother-in-law will be at the door soon with FRESH swordfish he caught himself, how did you cook yours Raven?

On edit: before anyone gets their billfish all bent out of shape due to the depletion of swordfish in our mother oceans, his was legal,it was his first sword, they caught three more and set them back to nature, and the stocks are rebounding, big time, off the South FL coast due to a moratorium on commercial harvest.

6. A little pepper, garlic salt
on top and I baked it in a 350 oven for 20 minutes or so. I added a little butter and lemon juice at the very end. Depending on the thickness of the cut, I doesn't take too long to cook, especially when it's fresh. Have fun!

11. Go get thee some raspberry jam, white wine, cilantro and onion
Broil the swordfish steaks in the broiler or on the grill with salt and pepper.

In a saute pan, take 1/2 cup of white wine and thinly sliced pieces of onion, reduce the wine until the alcohol burns off, add 1/2 cup of raspberry jam and mix until dissolved on low heat (so you don't burn it) When you have turned the heat off, add chopped cilantro (about 2 TBS full) Spoon this onto the plate and place the swordfish on it.

Yum yum!

25. yummmmmmmmm
I don't even like Raspberry jam (it's a texture thing, don't ask) but this sounds delicious.

Maybe I could use grape jelly instead? LOLOLOL

Seriously though, this is the 2nd really fabulous recipe of yours in two days. To what do you owe your obvious skill in the kitchen?

26. You could use fresh raspberries and some sugar instead
about a basketful combined with two tablespoons of sugar in a food processor.

Answer: I don't know what I owe it to, but I'm gonna make some girl real happy some day

20. You can make your own pie crust or buy one of those refrigerated
9 inch ones. For the filling:

about 10 plum tomatoes peeled and sliced. (To peel, drop them in boiling water for 20-30 seconds and then drop them in ice cold water until they cool. Then they peel easily.)

1/4 cup of fresh basil chopped
3 scallions chopped
1 1/2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1/3 cup of mayonaise
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
dash of pepper.

Heat the oven to 350. Lay your botton pie shell. Layer with tomato slices, basil and scallions. Cover with 1/2 the cheddar cheese.Mix the mayonaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper and pour over the tomatoes and cheese. Top with the remaining cheddar. Place the second pie shell on top of the filling and make 3 or four slits. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before you eat it.

Enjoy!

But I think I'll substitute silken tofu for the mayo!

This sounds great and not too difficult.

Bet it tastes great the second day.
