8. To be fair..

.. the only stuff they were going after was their studio music, all the live bootlegs weren't touched, since the band supports the idea of people recording the concerts (and whatever you do, don't buy anything from Livemetallica, the sound literally sucks - no audience mic at all, so you might as well be listening to a studio recording).

Q. What can the kids on the west coast expect from Van Stone's performance?
A. This is going to be a record breaking show. Literally, we’re out to break the Guinness book of world records for the loudest decibel record currently held by OverKill. We’re going to be so loud that it’ll feel like the Gods of Thunder came down and f-d you in the ears.

Are ear plugs mandatory at the concerts? I sure hope, otherwise Warped is looking at a monumental amount of lawsuits.

Also, the band list is not impressive to me, but I guess it's because I've already had my dose of livemusic this year (Korn, The Pixies, Slipknot, Morrissey, Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim, Santana, The Hives etc. - all at the same place within 4 days).

There are tons of bands at warped tour, i don't even think i've heard of them. they must suck.

.. but I just went through the band list, and that stuff was on the Bands page - and the only band on the list I've ever heard of is International Noise Conspiracy.

To follow up on the record attempt, if I'm not mistaken we had Metallica (or was it Iron Maiden? Can't remember) play at Roskilde last year (live bootleg, pics & videos available on request), and they played at around 110 dB IIRC - following that, various doctors went out and said that it was way too loud, especially since a lot of people didn't use ear plugs.
