BTW, these aren't supposed to be guilty pleasure choices.

A few of mine:

Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
Eminem - Eminem Show
Britney Spears - In The Zone (a limited like)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Toby Keith CDs (except for the newest two and How Do You Like Me Now)

2. I really don't know what would surprise people here on DU
Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 11:42 AM by khephra
At least the ones who have been around here for some time. I think I've established that I have pretty eclectic tastes. Maybe Adam Ant?

It might surprise people that I have over 30 cds of classical music, but I have posted in classical music threads before, so it might not.

17. I used to love Adam Ant
Unfortunately, I think he's now institutionalized with severe schizophrenia. He went off in a pub in London and got arrested, they found out he wasn't taking his meds. Really sad. :-(

27. It was a couple of years ago
Here's a link to a story about it, if you want to check it out. Adam Ant is now literally the poster-child(man) of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, working to try to erase the stigma from mental illness.

I just think her newest is better than usual.

As for the others, I'm proud of my taste.. I could just as easily say whoa about yours. Music is subjective.

14. I second Steely Dan- it's the only 70's FM format "Rock" worth a damn.
Otherwise, my collection is pretty ecletic & snobby.

22. More of mine
Dirty Vegas - self-titled (limited like)
Lamya - Learning From Falling (a relatively unknown name in R&B, which isn't my favorite genre - and the album is quite good and inventive - it would be even better if she had a stronger voice)
System Of A Down - Steal This Album!
Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals (the only album of his I like - the other albums seem like NIN ripoffs - this album has NIN influence, but it isn't as blatent)

29. My extensive collection of Broadway musicals (and movie sound tracks)
and the fact that I know all the lyrics to every song. It absolutely drives people crazy when I play them in their presence and start singing. To bad I can't carry a note to save my life or my friends might actually enjoy the fine music.
