4. Pay to pray, huh?
thanks for the post, B. I checked out the web site, and found it strangely disturbing for 3 reasons: 1) nowhere is it mentioned what church or religion they are affiliated with. In the Mission Statement, it says that they are non-aligned, free of government support, so they can "be unencumbered" to pray for whomever they please. So why do I get the feeling they're going to pray for Bush? Also, Bush is not mentioned anywhere in the web site. This is a damn vague organization, if you ask me. None of the donors have a listed church affiliation listed.

2) They have an 'Adopt a Soldier' plan where you get to adopt a full-grown man or woman, and pray for them and/or send them money, just like those benevolent organizations where you get to adopt a child for 50c a month. There's also a tab for 'View your adoptee', meaning they have a photo of your little darling. Now if I was a soldier in Iraq, I would not want these people praying for me. Could I refuse to be adopted?

3) Further down, there is a drawing of a soldier with hair on his chest. He's got a golden halo around his head. He's very obviously in a gladiator outfit = crusade. The hair looks modern, so I assume here these guys mean American soldiers = Christian Crusaders.

Red Alert = Warning.
