Do you sing along with the background vocals instead of the main vocal?
I do this all the time - I may be obsessed with it.

It's harder to do, and it really requires you to listen.

Plus, it sounds cool. :D

I've sung every song on A Hard Day's Night from every direction. Hell I even add my own harmony parts. :D

3. Sometimes; particularly if I'm listening to vocal-group music.
A good example is "Blue Moon" by the Marcels. Who cares about the lyrics when you've got that bass man kicking ass in the background?
