Disney can NOT be happy about movie business this weekend
Around the World in 80 days was the first Disney 'Blockbuster' of the summer. Costs over $110mill it tanked immediately at the theaters.

This past weekend Disney released it's next big 'blockbuster' King Arthur. It came in 3rd place for it's opening weekend behind Spiderman & Anchorman.

But get this:

King Arthur was in just shy of 3100 theaters and averaged $4900/theater.

But Fahrenheit 9/11 in just over 2000 theaters now averaged just shy of $5500 per film AND it's been out for 3 weeks now.

You have to think the stockholders at Disney are pretty peeved that they have 2 big budget movies that combined cost about $200million to make and they'll be lucky if they crack $100million for the both of them.

And they refused to show a little $6million dollar movie that will probably break $100million sometime next weekend

You do the math - Eisner totally messed this one up!!

8. Boxofficemojo.com says Fahrenheit 9/11 has
grossed 80 MILLION DOLLARS since its release. That is a boatload of money. The film cost $6 million to make and they allotted $10 million for marketing....

A whole lot of profit is left over after you subtract the $16 million in expenses.

9. You know the best part?
This film is making Michael Moore so filthy stinking rich that he'll have no problems making films for the next 30 years.

The right-wing has got to just be quivering.

13. don't forget a large portion of that goes to charity
as per the deal to let them release it themselves.on a related note,i have a friend that works for PIXAR,and he says if it weren't for Eisner they'd stay with Disney...

11. Who needs money when it's all about politics?
Or is it the other way around? It's hard to tell, in this society, what the dominant factor is... oh well!
