4. I dont know
but this show was very well done I thought...I am looking forward to seeing next week's episode.

Between this, Stargate, and the upcoming Battlestar Galactica series, there is still some good scifi left on TV.

12. here's something I found
The alien abduction story that seems to have started the cult beliefs about alien visitation and experimentation is the Barney and Betty Hill story. The Hills claim to have been abducted by aliens on September 19, 1961. Barney claims the aliens took a sample of his sperm. Betty claims they stuck a needle in her belly button. She took people out to an alien landing spot, but only she could see the aliens and their craft. The Hills recalled most of their story under hypnosis a few years after the abduction. Barney Hill reported that the aliens had "wraparound eyes," a rather unusual feature. However, twelve days earlier an episode of "The Outer Limits" featured just such an alien being (Kottmeyer). According to Robert Schaeffer, "we can find all the major elements of contemporary UFO abductions in a 1930 comic adventure, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century."

Of course, I found this rather humorous (or sad) website on alien abductions:

http://www.abduct.com/question/question.htm

Then again, maybe they are right? (cue eerie music here)

16. I don't know if alien abductions are real or not.
But to point to an article with this Philip Klass quote...

"...despite the fact that we humans are great collectors of souvenirs, not one of these persons has brought back so much as an extraterrestrial tool or artifact, which could, once and for all, resolve the UFO mystery." Philip Klass

doesn't help the skeptics cause.

Why the hell would aliens (heck why would we humans if we were in the business of abducting other species) allow the abductee to take away any souvenirs? This is just like saying that aliens can't be visiting earth because they don't act like we'd expect them too (IE land on the White House land and say hello). Why the heck should they act like we'd expect them to..they're aliens.

Like I said I don't know if alien abductions are real (I'm of the notion that there is something going on though maybe not necessarily alien); but I've read enough to know Phil Klass is a skeptic for the sake of being a skeptic. He'd continue to deny abductions even if it was his own. :)

Encoh, who "walked with God, and was not" in Genesis 5:24.
Elijah never saw death, but ascended into heaven in a "fiery chariot".
Substantially prior to Ezekiel.

18. Well, the earliest craft siezed by the US Govt may have been 1897
The Aurora, Texas one. (interesting to me that our super-secret aircraft thought to be able to fly out of the atmosphere is called the Aurora. Can you say 'reverse engineering'?)

Supposed to be an alien body there, too.

20. Thomas Rhymer
Back in the 13th century, he was taken as lover by the Queen of Elfland & spent seven years under the hill. But the time seemed much shorter to him.

Many of the alien abduction stories resemble the old tales about those kidnapped by The Good Folk. Time passes differently when you're "away". And, while some of the Folk are tall & fair, others are small & frightening. (Or as large & frightening as Lord Kinbote.)

Good stories never die. Only the details change.
