and especially for those that speak Spanish, I just really want to refer you guys to a great group that I have been listening to for years and they just never cease to amaze with their versatility, style and downright funny songs sometimes. The group is Café Tacuba and their website is http://www.cafetacuba.com.mx/english/home.html. My favorite song has to be their song about Mexican slang, "Chilanga Banda." Oh well, this thread will probably get pushed down quickly but these guys are great if you in to alternative international music.

I think I've seen a Cafe Tacuba video on World Link TV. Have you heard of Radio Mundial? You can get a free download of one of their songs on amazon.com if you want to check it out.

3. They're excellent.....

Their appearance at the 1993 Houston International Festival jumpstarted Houston's Rock en Español movement. I've seen them several times & have a couple of their CD's.

I really enjoy how they combine traditional Mexican music with modern rock. And "Chilanga Banda" does expand one's Spanish vocabulary.

4. I really wish

Rock en Español would catch on more here in Texas but unfortunately all the popular in Spanish stations here in Texas are all the Norteña or Banda music which to me is nothing more than Mexican polka. Ugh!
