Today in Vegas - 120º!! Yikes! |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 06:41 PM by stopbush
I just picked up the kids from school. Funny, but I must be getting used to it. Last year I really felt the heat. This year, I'm not even running the AC all that hard.
BTW - our official temperature is at the airport where it only hit 108º. We always run a little hotter up here in Summerlin.

I sold the house to a friend so I'm here for longer. I was in Canada last month though.

4. It was in the mid-80s in Ohio today |

And I thought that was blazing! We do have one thing, though, that you guys in Nevada don't have to deal with and that is humidity. It really adds to heat.

6. 114 degrees in Henderson |
|
My outside temperature gauge says 114 degrees. I was outside this morning, but after so long, I had to hide in the house with all the shades drawn. Laundry takes place after 6:OO P.M. when my electricity bill is not competing between air conditioning and the washing machine. These awful temperatures make up for our mild winters.

Just walked four miles. Lost a gallon of water every 10 meters or so.
But it's a dry heat.

9. Thanks for reminding me of why I hated living in Laughlin, Nevada. |
|
It was routinely 7-10 degrees hotter in Laughlin than Vegas. I felt as if I were living in a goddamned blast furnace!
