drunken redneck Repugs. I'm exaggerating a little they are not all
Repugs. Jamboree in the Hills is this week we will see hundreds of
pickups and campers with an American flag on one side and the Rebel flag on the other.

1. Yeah. They're not all Repugs.
Been there and done that too many times in my life. I country music didn't currently suck so bad, and if Clear Channel didn't own it, I'd probably go. But it does, and it does. And it's not that fun, anyway. Not at my age.

8. My brother's going. I know the lineup very well.
He's been recruiting me to go again for several months. I've had a lot of fun there, but it's not for me this year.

2. i'm from ada, ohio
and 90% of the town and counties are repubbies. I know how you feel. As soon as I was able to move away, I was gone. Besides there were no jobs there, except for the new jobs (3) created by a new manufacturing industry (Kentucky Fried Chicken)
:argh:

elected official here is a Democrat. We did elect Bob "Freedom Fries" Ney, I don't know how the hell that happened. We were redistricted and we are rid of him now. You're right about the jobs, WTO and NAFTA pretty much wiped them out. I'm still a surviver in what is left of the steel industry.

5. I am assuming
that you are from one of the larger cities in Ohio. We don't see much "libruls" in the part of the state that i am from.

Maryland is a bit more left leaning

9. Not many liberals, but lots of Dems here in SE Ohio.
It's rural, and it's not liberal, but it's Democratic leaning. It's a union thing.

the Ohio River valley is overwelmingly Dem.

15. So's Monroe County. Just to Belmont County's south.
I don't even think they bother to bring Republican primary ballots to my township. Well, they probably do, but they aren't afraid of running out. I'll put it that way.

I'd move away if it were otherwise.

I'm so glad to had Strickland now. Freedom fries, how embarrassing. Are you from MF? I sent you a PM the other day (I think it was you) but you didn't answer (if it was you).

18. Our area didn't elect Ney.
That was the counties to our west. Licking, Muskingum, etc are more populated than Belmont and Monroe, and they're repukes.

14. No, you're right.
I don't know how waiving a flag that represents wanting to leave the U.S. means you like the U.S.

Conservatives are stupid, though. You have to factor that in.

What's up, Sasquatch? :hi:

With our education system, that's the way to go. Just don't do like my nephew and stop there.

20. Ya it's a bit odd
But the one thing I understand is they don't see the difference, because both flags flew over a "nation" full of slaves at one time or another. I learn too much when I grow up with a father who claims himself a Southern Nationalist (unfortunately yes he's conservative too, but I have other relatives who claim the same thing that are Democrats).

16. I checked mapquest, so
I will stop asking where St. Clairsville is. Its about 350 miles directly west of me on I-70, all of the way. Mapquest is pretty cool. My folks are in west pa just north of pittsburgh, it can be a pretty conservative area. Are the folks in your town as upset there as they are here with * about the economy?
