Jude Deveraux The Raider - Barbie® and Ken® doll Giftset

This giftset features Barbie® and Ken® dolls as romance novel characters. Barbie® doll wears a violet blue dress that falls off her shoulders with a neckline trimmed in white lace and the violet blue taffeta bodice

Sample text from the book this Barbie is based on:

He chuckled as he put his face between her breasts. He untied the laces with his teeth since his hands were holding hers over her head. (sappy dialog snip). His tongue was running along the roundness of her breasts. ...

Momentarily later:

His tongue encircled her nipple. "Is it to be rape or lovemaking?"

I think it's pretty hysterical, but sadly so, in a South Park "and when four men put their penises in her vagina - is that love too?" kinda way.

5. Haha
I used to read these books sometimes, as a terminally bored teen. Back then the conflicted couple was left sexually frustrated til near the end.

Things got spiced up in a big way in the late '80s (?) I think.

13. You're in DC?
Try the MD Renisance Festival. It started last weekend and will be going for the next 8 weekends. If you like that dress for your wife you'll LOVE the Ren Faise!

14. I don't think that many kids will want it
Barbie makes two lines of dolls-the ones for the kids to play with, and the ones for the collectors, which are not cheap. I would guess these are of the latter category.
Dr. Barbie, Marine scientist Barbie, teacher Barbie, Pet Doctor Barbie, etc., are the ones marketed to kids. Nothing wrong with any of that.
Underwear Barbie, Barbie/Ken as various classic characters like Lucy and Ricky, Star Trek characters (done badly, with a white Barbie instead of a black barbie to be Lt. Uhura), Mulder& Scully, etc. are expensive (over $50) and not meant to be even taken out of the box.
