The end of the article also says, because of the DOJ, MS can't release its new OS until 2007. :D May Linux get into shape by then, not to forget that the curent beta of the new Windows (Longhorn) must be distributed on a jam packed DVD and runs mega-slow even on the bestest hardware. LOL...

6. Your Info Is wrong
My copy of Longhorn 4074 Is 732 MB, the capacity of a DVD disk Is 4.7 GB.

And Longhorn performed very well on my system, It was only a tad slower than XP.
I was actually surprised at how fast longhorn was for a "alpha" build.
