Musicals should not be trusted! EVIL!
I'm not a big fan of movie musicals, because i have a problem with suspension of disbelief.(and i watch Star Trek...Hehe!) In musicals everyone is talking and acting normal, and suddenly someone breaks into a song! Not only do they start singing out of the blue, but somehow they have music to back them up! Highly improbable! If i broke out with a song in the middle of the supermarket, they would take me away! Bottom line: Musicals are nothing but lies! Don't trust them kids!

;)

1. It's expressionistic.
I know a lot of folks share your objections to musicals, but why then is it acceptable in regular movies for jazzy music to start playing whenever people drive fast? (It's not on the car radio, so don't try that easy out...)

4. Damn! You're right!
ALL MOVIES CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!

The only movie i can think of that didn't have any music was "The Blair Witch Project."

ONLY TRUST THE BLAIR WITCH!

6. "The Singing Detective"
Yeah, like that over-the-top scene where an entire hospital ward bursts into song!

7. I love musicals

Nothing makes me happier than to see people singing and dancing, on screen and on stage. If there were such thing as reincarnation, I would say I was a "hoofer" in another life, for sure.

Musicals -- :loveya: :loveya:

8. What This Country Needs ...
... is some Bollywood-style musicals!

Here's an idea: Make a Bollywood-style musical about an American boy and an Indian girl who fall in love -- against the backdrop of a company outsourcing all their work to India.

Kind of like "West Side Story" meets "Everybody Says I Love You".

Whaddaya think, huh?

9. Good idea!
The Indian girl now has the American boy's job... Thanks to outsourcing. However, he can not hide his love for her!

10. How does 'Star Trek: The (Musical) Generation' sound?
Jean-Luc and Will Riker break out 'Incense and Peppermints' while Data croons 'Burn Hollywood Burn'... Troi, naturally, sings Olivia Newton-John's ultra-smash hit "Physical"...

12. DId you ever see Picard break into song?
Patrick Stewart sang "A you're Adorable" for Gene Roddenberry and he danced his way around the Enterprise bridge. Look for it on the Season 5 dvd set.
