It just doesn't seem to make sense to pluralize the noun when you are indicating the plural numerically as a group. Although I just thought that "Ill have 10 baseball" doesn't sound right- "I'll have 10 baseballs" sounds better... Shit, as an English major, you'd think I'd know this...:think:

Take a gathering of Gary Coleman sized-people you need to get from A to B.
When you called up the bus service, would you not say "I have 10 shrimps" ? Perhaps Crichton was on about something other than the marine life.
