3. I had a friend who was an insurance agent..
She investigated accidents like this. She said humans are decapitated by deer and moose all the time. By the looks of those pictures this was a similar situation.

4. does life have any meaning for a moose?
Tommorrow, and tommorrow, and tommorrow
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all of our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

This was at work 3 days ago. These photos were taken at the Sundridge Lumber yard, south of North Bay, Ontario. Now they show up here, posted by someone from California.

Moose, by virtue of their long legs are the perfedt height to come through the windsheild and take your head off. Deer, by comparison, merely trash the vehicle. BTW I hit a steer a couple of years ago. $9,000 damage to the front of a Ram 1/2 ton 4x4. The steer walked away.

6. A friend of mine had a similar experience with a deer . . .
Fortunately she wasn't going that fast and the deer only came partially through the windshield.

The poor girl had a deer looking her in the eye as it died :(. I felt sorry for both of them.

The truck was pretty messed up, needed the whole front end redone.
