Man Sets Woman And Three Children On Fire In Car Near Seattle

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- Three children were killed and a woman critically injured in a fiery crash early Wednesday after the woman's boyfriend held them at gunpoint in the car and then doused them with gasoline and set them afire, authorities said.

The 19-year-old woman was in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following the crash at an intersection near this town east of Tacoma, Pierce County sheriff's Detective Ed Troyer said.

The grisly spectacle unfolded around 1 a.m. when a resident reported hearing a crash and seeing two adults completely on fire as they stumbled across the road.

Firefighters found the bodies of the children in the back of the overturned car, which was severely burned. The 6-month-old boy, 1 1/2-year-old boy and 2 1/2-year-old girl were the children of either the man, the woman or both, Troyer said.

This is maddening. I no longer support the death penalty but sometimes, just sometimes, my emotions get the better of me. Is it bad to want someone like this dead! :mad: How could someone do that children? As a parent, to say I am appalled does not come close to expressing my feelings. And what is it with wack-jobs that can't handle relationships ?

5. Really... I have to think the kindest thing for this poor woman...

would be if she did NOT survive. How absolutely monstrous. I have to think this was more inhuman an act to those children than Susan Smith's drowning hers strapped in the car. I suppose it is a toss up, but to be burned alive--Jesus, how could ANYONE do such a thing? I sincerely hope there is some kind of heavenly afterlife for these children. This story is going to stay with me for quite awhile.....
