no contest. It's DEATH, that would be someone you figure would suck at saving lives, even if he/she/it wanted to.

I mean make her make the choice between the glee of killing the patient and killing you, torture for death. plus those bony hands can't be real dextrous, you know?

It is impossible to lose Tic Tac Toe if you know the right moves. It always comes out to a draw.

So the question will be who loses patience first - Death, or me? With my life on the line, I think I would have far more to lose!

82. Ever read the Woody Allen play "Death Knocks" ?
It's in one of his little books of short humor pieces (Without Feathers maybe) and it's a modern suburban version of the Seventh Seal, with Death coming for a Jewish businessman who challenges him to a game of gin rummy in his sitting room... Death gets his clock cleaned, and the man gets more time.

Very funny piece... and I read it like three times before I "got" the joke in the title.

Check it out... wonder if the writer of "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" paid the Woodman any royalties, or if either of them sent props to Bergman.

76. Use your "F" or "W" tile (4 points) as your 'high' letter
and hopefully Death will have the J tile. With F/D/W you can pretty much spell a 3 letter word with any opening vowel that Death puts in his opening word.

Then you can just act like you picked up the Q/Z/X sometime later in the game. Hopefully Death doesn't have the ability to see your tiles.

43. I'm overrun with spiders
Any advice on that? I feel like I live at 1313 Mockingbird Lane!

We had to replace the roof on the garage, rebuild the porch to the garage and do some major yard work (she hadn't pruned the place in four years).

Now I still have to replace the front porch and back deck (both were built with untreated wood ... in Seattle :eyes:).

Saturday I'm getting some new, much needed furniture.

Yes, $ is tight. :D

:-)

I've had to have my roof patched around the chimney as the people who installed the roof NAILED THROUGH THE FLASHING!!! :argh:

My yard had been growning unchecked, too. I pruned the trees back, and they look much healthier.

Find God_bush_n_cheney when he gets back to Seattle. He rearranged my living room furniture so it looks a lot better and is more functional.

I've been spending like a sailor on leave this month. Next month I make my first payment. :D

I have a really neat MahJongg set from the 50s with bakelite tiles in a leather case that I picked up at an auction. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, and haven't played in years...

So, as long as you don't play like those crazy people who throw their tiles around and move from play to play in split-seconds... I'm definitely game.

Death does not get to set up the wall.

70. Chess
I used to have a rating above 2000 (post-provisional) in the USCF. That's a far cry from International Master or Grandmaster, but most people would be lucky to walk away from their first tournament rated 1400. The rating scale is roughlt as such: if I'm rated 200 points above you, my chances of winning are 75%. If 400 points, it's my game to lose and it would take a blunder to do so.

I'm sure I'm not in the 2000 range now (I stopped serious study after the '93 Kasparov-Short match), but as I'm not master material in anything else, I've got to go with the games I usually win - which in this case would be either chess or cribbage.

75. Candyland
It is a game that is purely based on luck. I have a 50% chance at immortality. I'll take that bet. If immortal, imagine the interest you would get?
