And he was valiant, do you hear me? Valiant!
Then there was the other Harold, Harold Hardrada. Now that man did a lot of traveling for the days before Motel 6.
ALL valiant.
Lotta good Harolds out there. Excellent name, Harold.

Dogs respond better when their name begins with a hard consonant.
How about Dr. Hibbert. That way the name begins with H, but you can call him Doc.

heck, anything with a silent H will really screw up the vet (I'm giving all of my children silent letters in their names, just for fun) or spell it "Harry" but pronounce it Bobo.

we had a black lab with that name and still miss the old guy. A lovable name, James Stewart starred in a movie about a large invisible rabbit named Harvey that was his closest friend and only he could see him. They went to bars and drank together, a very funny movie.

He was a very odd Elk Hound. We got him later in life after a life as a show dog. Poor Harvey would not breed so he was sold to us. Poor Harvey was scared of his own shadow and would frequently just pose in odd positions for long periods of time. We called him the living breathing taxidermy. We loved poor old Harvey and he lived a long and happy life.
