Question about young travelers & airline rules... |
|
How do airlines deal with teenagers who do not have picture ID? Does anyone have experience with this? A 15-year old family member is coming to visit me.

1. We had photo school ids in high school. |
|
Most states will give you an id, which looks like a driver's license but is not.

Not much time left to get ID or Passport, but I'm sure we'll be able to work it out...

probably would need an adult with them to get the tickets at the counter & to get through security. Once they are through the metal detector, they don't need ID

4. a 15 year old can get a passport |
|
It's easy to get a passport now, just go to the post office and get the form, and they'll help the applicant with it. So even if the teens can't get a state ID/learner's permit, they can get passports which are the best form of photo ID anyway in airports.
