How do you kill the evil Windows Journal Viewer pest? |
Every time I try to open a PDF, the evil Windows Journal Viewer stubbornly attempts to set itself up so it can steal Adobe Acrobats' function away from it. The Task Master will not shut it down. As soon as I try to end the task, it starts again. To view the PDF, I have to manually open Acrobat.
Does anyone else have this annoying problem? How do I kill that frickin' little bastid?

1. It sounds like the Viewer is associated with PDF files ... |
1. Open up Windows Explorer. 2. Click Tools | Folder Options 3. Click on the File Types tab 4. Scroll down to PDF and click on it. If it is using Viewer, click the Change button and select the Adobe Acrobat. Save the changes.

2. My PDF's are associated with Acrobat, as they should be. |
Have you heard of Windows Journal Viewer before? Is it another predatory Microsoft rip-off of someone else's brilliant idea? Or did it somehow get screwed up on my computer alone?
