Like when I walk on the porch it starts to dip. It's a cool porch too, so it kind of sucks that I have to completely rip it out.

The bedroom has this awesome Juliet-style balcony on the back - also built with untreated wood.

So, I need to replace those two things AND find a guy to serenade me once it's finished. Damn, the life of a homeowner is never easy.

24. I'll take before & after pictures

It is actually a cool front porch - big enough for my insane container garden, my water garden and my bbq.

The little deck is only big enough for me (and maybe a friend) to stand on while we're being serenaded.

Wow - you and Fenris are coming up to Seattle to serenade me - I haven't been this giddy at 10 am in a long time. Makes me want to break out in a horrible rendition of an already-horrible show tune.:loveya:

The only good thing about my back porch is that if I do add on, it faces east, so it gets the morning sun, but is shaded from the evening sun. I might have to add on with concrete though. Bleh.

I'm sure my boss won't miss me. He'd understand that I'm off on a religious mission. :D

32. I really do need to take pics of my house

I live on a great street - everyone has an amazing garden. My house is 90 years old, as are many of them around here, so the yards are also old. Nice, big shady trees, but we also get lots (by Seattle standards, at least) of sun. I've already harvested about five heads of lettuce, Swiss chard, peas and I have about six dozen tomatoes ready to ripen at any second now.

I even have a small palm in the front of my yard - that way I can get my California kicks without having to fly down there.

Do you have to have a minimum of people to form this religion? I bet we could come up with maybe five or so people here.

Like any good guru, I will feed you well and house you.:D

Since I moved in too late for veggies, I'll have to wait for next year on those. I also have to do something to make grass grow, and not weeds.

It was from the Realtor's website. And so all the interesting, plush furniture is no longer here.

When the old owner stopped by once, she commented, "I love what you've done with the place. It's so minimalistic" (read: we don't have any furniture).

It's amazing what you can do with rugs, floor pillows, a sitar and a harmonium, though - the place looks okay!:D
