They did an album last year that had Dave Grohl from Nirvana/Foo Fighters playing drums on it. But I don't think it sold well.
Some of those older groups are always going to have the small segment of younger fans into their music.
I think I read somewhere that bands like Black Flag and Minor Threat sell more albums in one year now than they did in all of the 80's.

The Killers are that new wave/garage rock band from Las Vegas. I've heard the album and didn't hear any rap fusion anywhere to be found.

That new show on USA about alien abductees returning to earth. They were on a mix CD (given by one character to another) that also featured The Darkness and Handsome Boy Modeling Club.
