Skinny Puppy
I recently revisited some of their music after an almost decade long hiatus from listening to them. They should have been much bigger than they were. Unfortunately they didn't go the pretty boy MTV route like Nine Inchan Nails did, nor did they polish up their sound to straight ahead rock like Ministry did. But damn, some of the prime Skinny Puppy material still has the power to creep out and disturb to this day. It helps to have seen them live and have their disturbing visuals in your psyche to accompany the music. But either way, they never capitalized on the popularity of the industrial sound in the early 90's even though they were one of the best in the game. It's a shame.
