Although you wouldn't feel entirely comfortable sipping cognac and discussing Fellini with Frasier and Niles Crane, you think of yourself as somebody who enjoys the finer things in life. You get a great deal of pleasure out of fine dining and beautiful clothes, but you can't hide the fact that you're as interested in the label on the outside of the wine you're drinking as you are in the actual taste.

Everything you do—and everybody that you choose to hang out with—has been carefully selected in order to cultivate a certain image. You see yourself as a person of "taste" and you take great care to ensure that your friends see you the same way.

Although you secretly detest most of the cultural events that your friends convince you to go to—your favorite part of a night at the opera is when the curtains come together and everybody applauds—you are too vain to admit that you'd much rather spend your time sitting at home watching "Survivor."

Sadly, your pretension prevents you from sharing things like your love of Diet Coke and Ally McBeal with your friends, so you end up doing the things you most enjoy by yourself. Tell your friends that you've cancelled the chalet in the Laurentians, and ask them if they'd like to join you on your road trip to Saskatoon.

Actually, I see it as more enjoying both. I liked Ally McBeal when it was on and had no trouble saying so.
