Poll question: Which Floyd CD should I buy? |
|
It's payday again, and as usual it's time to replenish the old CD collection. I'm in the mood for Pink Floyd today, but I just can't decide. I intentionally left some titles off, either because I have them already, or don't feel like getting them yet.

Buy them ALL.
But I voted for "Animals" being that it is their most underrated.
"Obscured" is also heavily underrated.
"Piper" rules because it is Syd.
But none of them are bad choices.

3. I would assume that this list means you already have... |
|
Dark Side and Delicate Sound.

5. Well, at one time I had pretty much all of them |
|
But yes, I still have dark side. I was never a huge fan of Delicate. I thought Pulse was a better live disc.

4. Another vote for Piper |
|
But try and find the English version-- alternative (mono) mix, and several different tunes.
A comprehensive Piper, with all the early singles and the original take of "Astronomy Domine," would be of great benefit to the world.

7. The Capitol CD version is the original EMI "Piper" |
|
Original running order, origial "Astronomy", all 11 tracks. The Nice Pair version was a ripoff, because the put the Ummagumma version of Astronomy Domine on it (which is not bad, it just isnt the studio version).

10. Had it. Had to sell it. |
|
It's not a bad disc. It's also not a good disc either. I may get that one some other time just to complete my collection.

12. Relics is a pretty cool collection |
|
Is that out on CD? As for your list, I would say Animals, but then again Wish you were here is great. Of course Piper is a good one also.... Hell....I don't know.

14. I wish relics was more complete |
|
Kind of like the Early Singles disc in the Shine On box set. I was hoping for the CD reissue that they would drop the songs that are found on More, since they already exist in print. oh, and add "Vegetable Man" and "Scream thy Last Scream" too!

when you can update your dvd player to one that plays SACD and DVD audio, the resolution is amazing and Floyd will never sound better, unless its live, too late for that
