4. 60% positive -- good people, interesting discussion
25% disappointment/frustration that there are a few folks here who really don't want a level-headed discussion if having one requires a minimal consideration of a differing, perhaps even *gasp* moderate point of view. (Someone once called me a rapist -- I forget why, but I'm not a rapist and have nothing in common with rapists.)

10% terror at some of the things I read here (peak oil, suitcase nukes, killer space debris, etc.)

5% confusion about which of the stuff in that terrifying 10% I believe (for the record, peak oil I believe, suitcase nukes I have some info that they do exist and force myself to think of other things since I live in NYC, and I believed the space debris for 30 seconds and then felt like an idiot for doing so. )

5. As for your disappointment
Yeah, the people here tend to be very liberal and some are uncompromising. But I bet you'd be surprised to learn that for a long time before the primaries the very moderate Howard Dean was a favorite on the board. Now he wasn't beloved by all, but a lot of people who are way more liberal than him supported him.

6. WHY ARE THE CHINESE SUCH BAD DANCERS?
I asked Fenris and stumped him.
Can you answer this?
