Spooky angered at fly on food bowl, injures brother, montana...

Chaos ruled today at the liberalitch household when the little black cat, spooky, became angry while in food-rage at a fly that had landed on the edge of his bowl. Reportedly he batted wildly at the fly, knocking over his food bowl and the water bowl. When his brother, the big gray cat Montana tried to calm him and aid in the fly liquidation he was also attacked. Montana's food bowl was raided by the seemingly berserk spooky and Montana was slapped three times on the head. Both cats are expected to recover. film at 11:00.

1. Nick started jumping around the room, rolling on the floor ...

He was acting like a rabid dog. He was even foaming at the mouth. He kept rubbing his snout with both paws while rolling on his back. Then I saw it. A wasp was tangled in Nick's beard, stinging him repeatedly on his lower lip. I freed the wasp. Nick snapped at it a couple of times as it buzzed on the floor in its death throes. All this happened an hour ago. Nick seems fine now.

4. watch him though....

he'll get a "football" head.

8. Nick seems to be doing fine.

He is snapping at all flying insects now. "Not smart," I tell him.

2. Daisy sees

the Pig on floor in the middle of family room. Daisy stares at Pig, Pig stares back. Tensions mount. Daisy feigns right, feigns left then suddenly is still. Pig continues to stare.

Daisy shrieks and leaps toward Pig, grabs Pig by left rear leg and proceeds to shake mercilessly from side to side.

Pig is stunned and unable to oink.

After several seconds of intense growling and mauling of Pig, Daisy drops Pig at my feet. Pig topples over thoroughly cowed by the might of Daisy.

Daisy snorts and trots off to gather her strength for in the corner lurks Squirrel...

5. the fly escaped.... pig not so lucky....

things get nasty around here on saturday morning....

7. Daisy

circles Squirrel. Squirrel appears oblivious. A low rumble is heard, Daisy pounces. Squirrel flies through the air and lands under coffeetable. Squirrel is lifeless. Daisy snorts and wanders off.

Pig watches from a distance and appears to be trembling.
