It's "House of the Rising Sun" by Eric Burdon. I have both iTunes and Napster and all they have are some very bad acoustic/unplugged versions of the song. I am looking for the real thing, the radio version. If anyone has it and would be willing to e-mail it to me please PM me.

1. I have it on an old... |

...record that I purchased in 1967. I don't have a clue how to get it on the computer. I'm lucky to still have a turntable, but I rarely use it. I can't imagine what I will do if I ever need a needle for it.

2. You're probably looking for the Animals version |

That's the best one. Don't search for Eric Burdon, search for the Animals--his version with the 'new animals' and whatever ever versions he has done don't match up to the original. It should be around 4:30 minutes long, if you're talking about the single from the mid sixties.

3. All Napster has is a Live Version |
|
I don't do live versions of music. iTunes has some weird versions of it that sound more appropriate for a coffee house in a college town.

They have a great selection of tunes. The version that I have (and is the most famous) is by the Animals from 1964, lasts for 4:31 minutes, has a great Burdon vocal and great organ-playing by Price.
