Ads/Previews that shouldn't be shown before certain shows? |
|
I don't know if it was with every print or done as a joke, but at a local showing for F9/11 the first ad was for one of those Iraq War video games that's come out recently.
The entire audience was deathly quiet, even though people were just settling in. I couldn't even hear popcorn being eaten while it was on.

It probably put the film in a much more disturbing context.

2. They had a "GO ARMY" commercial before F9/11 |
|
in our theatre. It seemed pretty weird in that context, for sure.

3. That's pretty damn bad too |
|
I'd sure hate to have a recruitment center near a theater showing F9/11, that's for sure!

4. Ours, too. That "Army of One" spot. |
|
Which of course, makes my ex-Army husband laugh. He finds the spot ludicrous, considering how much time the armed forces takes in teaching recruits that they're one of a group, and team work is the only way to succeed.
I noticed that our theater, which was PACKED got really quiet when it came on.
