Steve Earl wrote the new anti-war anthem
I just got back from the Woody Guthrie folk festival in Okemah Oklahoma and had an INCREDIBLE time! I can't think of a concert or festival I've been to where I had more fun. One of the highlights was Steve Earl doing a solo acoustic set and being as political as he always is between songs about love and heartbreak.

At the end of his set he said he was rushing to get a new album out before the election and it would be released in August. Then he sang a song from that album that has to be the most moving and powerful peace song I've heard written in years. The main chorus line went, "Just another poor boy sent off to fight a rich man's war."

At least half this crowd was from rural Oklahoma but everybody went nuts cheering the first time he sang that line! Clearchannel will probably boycott the song but I hope we can get it on the air. It sounded like the Fahrenheit 911 of country music.

6. great link
I listen to the local community radio station here, and one where I used to live that boasted they broadcasted from a trailor in Clinton, TN. I'm bookmarking this one now too.

Good job using the correct Wayne's World response to my No Way. Not nearly enough people do that.
