gloom, despair, and agony on me
deep, dark depression
excessive misery
if it weren't for bad luck
I'd have no luck at all
gloom, despair and agony on me

4. Minnie Pearl was my favorite
"Good mornin', this mornin'!" From a routine Minnie did once. That's all I remember but I loved it.

2. Biotin and Choline deficiencies?
Biotin deficiency is certain if you eat a lot of eggs. Depression and (eczema) are signs of this deficiency.

Choline helps mental function and energy metabolism. It's GREAT for people with MS too. Not getting enough causes confusion and depression. Possibly anxiety too, I need to double-check but I'm sure it did...

6. Choline can be found in
these foods:

soybeans, egg yolk, butter, peanuts, potatoes, cauliflower, lentils, oats, sesame seeds and flax seeds. (Insufficient research is currently available to classify food sources of choline according to our excellent, very good and good rating system.)

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=nutrient&dbid=50

http://www.berkeleywellness.com/html/ds/dsLecithinCholine.php has more on claims and vaguely tries to debunk them.

There are many sites that promote the supplement. Others try to debunk it. The best thing to do is try it slowly and see if it works for you, which is what matters. Take no more than 500mg per day (I'm starting with 250 for 2 weeks then up to 500) and see if any benefits occur...).

It's also a separate supplement pill that can be purchased, a 50 day supply for $5.00 at GNC, pardon my name-dropping. :-) But it's loads cheaper than prescription meds designed to assist conditions which may be related to choline deficiency.

7. Dude. You are a walking Google.
Thank you very much -- I consider this valuable info and have forwarded it to myself at work. (More time there to browse & educate myself. Ha!)

Thanks, Toad.

5. I've gone through times like that, also, Bertha.
One of the things that got me through was hard work. I really pushed myself hard to try and rid myself of my predicament. It helped, along with some serious psychiatric drugs (I won't go into that), I'm in a relatively good position now.

9. that's good advice, and I thank you
Unfortunately one of the more powerful symptoms of this depression is inertia -- at least the part of the law of inertia that says "a body at rest tends to stay at rest." I'd change "at rest" to "in near-catatonia."

My consolation is that I know this is completely situational -- the situation being that I'm transitioning from one antidepressant to another. So it's temporary. (Doesn't mean it doesn't suck, though.

:hi: thanks, droopy.

10. That's good to hear, Bertha
I'm glad it's only temporary. Be good to yourself.
