an old roomie of mine stole it, so I no longer have it. Good news is that he's in prison for stealing other people's stuff too.

One of these days I'll track down a new copy of that and the Black Adder book. They're fairly cheap used.

Mr. Nownow has never seen The Young Ones, he didn't have MTV back when they were showing that here in the States back in the '80s. I went over to BBCA and printed out the current schedule, he'll probably get a charge out of it.

Which, when filtered through the sensibilities of all the residents of the household, ultimately starts out "Dear Fascist Bullyboy ..."

I found some of the transcripts once -- I always loved the little "sausages and plants and goldfish" scene: "I've discharged my responsibilities -- now you discharge yours!" Had it for a signature line in one of my e-mail programs ages ago.

What are you talking about? Guess I better read the rest of the thread! I get BBC America! The Young Ones are back? Re-runs from the 80s or they are doing new shows???

I have the DVDs with every stoopid episode on them. Have them all memorized. Those guys were genius.

So you're not missing anything if you have the DVD.

But at least any Young Ones in-jokes will have a fresh audience here on DU, if they tune in. Thursday nights (repeated a few times) and another repeat of the Thursday episode on Sunday afternoon. This week was the first episode.
