Can spiders be omnivorous if they have to be?

There's a little spider who took up residence inside a Calla Lily pot in my room. There has also been some suspicious munching of the leaves. However, I though spiders were carnivores? I was wondering if this poor spider was forced by the generally insect-free environment of my bedroom to munch chlorophyll and fiber for survival.

This is most likely a stupid question, and no doubt I could research it on the Internet, but hey, this is the Lounge and I'm in the mood for asking silly questions. :hi:

(Another thought I had is there were insects that I didn't see who did the munching, and the spider took up residence in order to eat these stealthy bugs.)

2. Thanks!

I think it might have already, actually. The munching looks kind of old and the spider seems to have vacated for new territory.

:dunce:

4. Oh, I couldn't hear it

LOL, I was just using "munching" as a synonym for "eating". :hi:
