Let's get the FDA involved! :D

24. Yep. I want warning labels
on that stuff. I had no idea what it was and thought it would have a more old fashioned taste similar to what we used to pop when I was a kid.

There was no visible description or warning it was going to be sweet. It was nasty stuff.

4. The real stuff - yes, the micro stuff - not so much
I guess some things should remain "carnival food." I saw a IHOP commercial for funnel cakes. Weird.

6. It is an abomination.
It, and those who eat it, should be burned in the public square.

7. I just now had to go check to see what kind I just bought today
I hadn't bought popcorn in years, and for some reason I bought some today. I did see the "kettle corn" on the shelf, and it was really random chance that I didn't buy some of that, rather than the unleaded that I did buy.

8. Corn popped in a kettle? Absolutely.
Corn popped in a kettle and then doused with both salty stuff and sugary stuff (or its microwave analog)? No. Eww. :puke:

GRRRRR kettle corn! I could MURDER some kettle corn right now.

Think I'll go have taquitos instead. It's dangerous for me to eat kettle corn.

13. AAH!!! Everyone hates kettle corn!
Is this part of some Democratic platform I didn't know about?!?

Mrs. Choralscholar brought home Orville Reddenbacher's 'Sweet and Buttery' and it was pretty good. The hard part is trying to find something to drink with it. Maybe a dry chardonnay.... :)

14. Mmm...kettle corn!
I have some friends who make it in a big copper kettle (duh) at 1812-14 reenactment events, and it's *yummy*! I'd never buy it anywhere else, and the idea of microwave kettle corn is pretty yucky. I just don't think it'd taste the same if I weren't wearing a long skirt and jacket and a lace bonnet! :)

15. GROSS!!! I BOUGHT SOME ONCE AND DIDN'T KNOW!
I thought kettle related to old fashioned popcorn - like butter and salt. I popped it up, took a bite, and was SHOCKED! Sorry you got snookered!

16. Never tried it
the guy at the flea market won't give out any free samples.

Just as well, it's not the kind of stuff I ought to be eating anyway.

17. I doubt you turkeys have had real kettle korn
The kind that's actually cooked in a kettle is decent stuff.

The stuff you buy in a package at the store or make in your microwave is disgusting. :puke:

It's like polystyrene flavoured with... whatever it's been dipped in.

Bleagh.

The sweet/salty combination is great. I like it WAY more than candy corn or Cracker Jacks.
