Anyone else using "My Life" as a sleep aid?

No offense Mr. President, but geeze. I read casebooks in law school that were more exciting. It's not that I don't find it interesting, I do. Also, I'm a student of politics, so I really appreciate it from that standpoint.

Did someone call it eye-crossingly dull?

I'm only around page 200, so I'm sure it's gonna pick up, right?

Funny, but that was the exact phrase used in the NYT review of the book, or one of the major reviews. Shoot for some originality. That's the sign of a creative and exciting thinker.

Perhaps as someone who shares the same kind of detailed memory as Clinton and a penchant for stories relating that detail, I find myself engrossed in the time and place of which he speaks. I can hear him talk to me.

I think the age of television has robbed us of appreciating finely-honed sketches of life, and attention spans.

6. I have read 600 pages, and I think bill is a fine writer.

I do find some editorial mistakes, but I guess thats what happens when you rush to print.I find it facinating.

He tries to reason with the guy, instead of boobytrapping his place with a shotgun (that's why he's an internationally-respected statesman and I'm not!).

Personally I find the background stories on what it was like to grow up in the southern US just fascinating. It's so different from my own life.

I had a funny moment yesterday when I was cooking some of that watermelon pudding from a recipe posted in an earlier DU thread (it's really good -- and you don't need to add any extra sugar!). I also have a crate of baby chicks in the hallway (under a heat lamp when it gets too cold for them to be outside at night). So I was looking at the bucket of watermelon rinds, and the chickens, and thinking ... geez, if anybody walks in here, they're going to think it's Arkansas or something! It's Clinton's fault!
