Good. Hope it was a good time.

I'm great. Living alone now so that's interesting. Other than that, peachy.

3. Lots of fun
Were going to the park this weekend to play some volleyball and basketball.

What kind of place are you staying in? Apartment? Townhouse? House? other?

Hopefully that works out. I'm looking into finding a place of my own myself. How are things with your man?

4. Sounds like a good time.
Hope you have fun! Glad to see things are going well with her.

I live in a 3BR/2Bath double wide trailer. (No trailer jokes now! :) ) Good luck searching for you one.

Things with him are good. He's pretty busy, but will hopefully be able to come see me for a day or so in August. They're getting ready for deployment in November.

5. You know you live in a trailer when....
You lit a match in the bathroom and your house exploded right off its wheels. Sorry :)

Seriously that isn't bad, it's alot better then living on the streets. My girl from 14-15 lived on the streets and from 16-18 she lived in a group home. Ever since then she has been bouncing from place to place and has yet to find a steady home. That is what me and her are looking into but that will take some effort.

I hope you get a chance to see him, August? That most be really rough having that distance between you guys. Good luck with that.

6. No, really.
It's a home. Who cares what the hell it looks like? There's love there and that's all that's needed. And thanks, but it doesn't have wheels.

The distance isn't the worst thing ever. We talk everyday and not seeing each other makes us closer. Good luck living with someone you haven't been dating for awhile. Hope it works out.

7. I was kidding
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 06:22 AM by Champ
Alot of my friends live in trailers in Apache Junction and by alot I mean alot. I lived in one in the past. I heard that joke from a friend who lives in a trailer and your right. It is a home and by that it is a place to eat and sleep at night and that is all that really matters. Tennis Courts, Jacuzzi's, 2 story houses, etc is nice but unnecessary. It is alot better then being homeless right?

I know it isn't and I completely understand roadblocks in a relationship that are overcome can bring people to closer. My point is she can't stay here forever, and when she has to go where is she going to go? 2 places.. homeless shelters or the streets. So thank you, I hope it works out as well. I hope you didn't take anything I said the wrong way.

So what are your plans for today?

The green tea alone tastes like a cross between mint and wheat grass. If you get the green tea with ginseng, it tastes a little like ginger. My favorite brand, Yogi Tea, is pictured below:

To sweeten it up, use honey instead of sugar (trust me on this one).

on edit: What exactly do you have? Flu? Cold? Other?

13. Thanks so much!
I think I'll make a special stop on the way home from work today. I'm not really sure what's wrong with me to be honest. I've been really tired lately, though I'm sure some of it is stress related. There's a lot of things going on lately and I think I'm just bogged down. But thanks for the suggestion! Definitely going to try it and see how it works.

How are you this morning? Not able to sleep?

15. No insomnia this time!
Despite the fact that I had 3 cats sleeping on top of me all night (they love the A/C in the bedroom), I slept well. I get up at 6AM every morning to begin my increasingly irritating job hunt--not that I should be complaining, especially when so many DUers have been unemployed for as long as a year. I've only been looking for a job since February, and my unemployment was the result of a career change. I have no right to gripe.

Stress can be very detriment to your health, of course. From what I read in the thread above, your sig/other has been deployed, and leaving in the fall? That may be a huge part of your health issues.

Wow! 3 cats?? Must get cramped with you guys! Glad to hear that you're sleeping well though! And I'm sorry to hear about the unemployment, you have a right to complain. I really hope that you find something that you'll be happy at doing. Good luck with it, I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!

I'm not sure if it's his deployment or me suddenly living on my own without my roommates being there (one went to TX for 6 months, the other with her BF). Of course it bothers me he's leaving but that's not until November. I'm just not sure.

20. Stress weakens your immune system and can cause all kinds of
strange symptoms. You sound as if you're more fatigued and drained than sick, which could be caused by a disrupted sleep pattern. If it keeps up for another couple of days, you might want to consult a professional.

26. The great part about unemployment: What could I be fired from?
My couch? DU? This computer?

I suppose the cats could fire me, but they're too busy stalking one of those little plastic rings from the cap of a bottle of orange juice.

Of course, you should be very impressed that I haven't fired myself. I have a guitar, bass, and drum machine all set up and ready to go, merely a couple of feet from where I'm sitting. Personally, I am impressed that I haven't simply blown off my job hunt completely. As it is, I jockey between my fax machine and DU for eight hours every weekday.

32. You know, I really have decided that I don't give a damn.
If someone does not want a persistent-to-the-point-of-obsession employee, I would not be a good match anyway. I survived the punk rock idiot life for over a decade because this simple fact alone: I don't stop. Neither unemployment nor assertiveness scare me.

39. I have two options:
My first choice would be to teach English at the secondary level. I am certified, I have two master's degrees, and I can look like an uptight white Republican in a suit if the situation warrants it.

My second choice would be to go back to copywriting, but indie record labels cannot pay a very good salary. As I said, I absolutely refuse to go back to corporate America: I have locked eyes with evil, and that was enough. The only real option would be to work for a nonprofit organization of some sort. If I cannot find a teaching gig by September, I will most likely start looking in this direction.

27. Ran on Saturday
Got in 6 mi before the rains. It was a hard one because I ran on streets I had never surveyed before. Was gonna practice soccer on Sunday, but I'm too old to be playing in the mud and not getting paid for it so I practiced taichi and taichi sword for an hour or so. Then hung with my brother and the guys.
