10. I wish I had a picture of it
Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 06:57 PM by khephra
but on one of those weird-home shows they had a man who converted a firetruck into a three-level mobile home/camper. The thing actually had a library, den (with Internet hook-up), full kitchen and wood-burning stove. If I ever get rich, I'm going to hunt down the designer and have him build one for me. It "only" cost him $70,000 to build, but he did much of the work himself, so it would have to be higher for anyone else.

11. Now that does sound awesome.....
....wish you had a pic o'it too....my Dad would trip! :hi:

That one in the picture up there like my parents costs over a 100K...the choicest ammenity is their all-in-one washer'n'dryer...it's got built in satellite TV...leather furniture and real wood cabinets...veeeery nice....but it's only in the middle class....they make 'em a whoooole lot more expensive!!

16. When Shopping For Our Pop-Up...
we toured some of the fifth-wheel campers and big-rig motor homes... very nice!!!

High ceilings... raised living rooms (with bump-outs)... washer/dryer combo units... built-in flatscreen TV's with surround sound. One of them even had a FIREPLACE.

I'm still enjoying being on THIS side of the camping<-->luxury scale. (Besides, the fuel costs alone are budget busters... forget the insurance payments and financing.)

Maybe later on. --- Those are definitely sweet! And we have relatives who sold their brick-n-mortar home and who LIVE full time in their fifth-wheel motor home. They are loving every minute of it.

13. Note The Aluminum Foil And Duct Tape Over The Window
it really helps to keep the light out (as well as the skeeters).

We just love it.

21. I've Actually SEEN A Few Mobile Homes Up On L-O-N-G Stilts...
just like the one in that picture. It's pretty frightening. I'd not want to sleep in it... especially in a rain storm.

PS: The dining table that doubles as a boat is FANTASTIC. I love that one!!
