Is fish OK in the fridge?
I left a lunch in the fridge since last Wednesday. It's baked salmon. I thought it was turkey when I first took it out and I smelled it and thought that doesn't smell like turkey, that smells like fish.

So it's OK, right?

1. closed up in tupperware or something?
I'd say yes if it was in an airtight container, no if it isn't.

I'm particular about what's left out though, I'd just toss it.

2. It won't make you sick
If it was cooked and stayed in the fridge the whole time, it won't make you sick, but it might not taste too good. Especially, if it was in an office fridge with everyone else's decomposing lunches.

3. If In Doubt...Throw It Out
I wouldn't eat it.

Never fish for more than 24 hours in fridge is my rule. Freezer, fine...but not fridge. fish don't take much to go bad.

5. No, it is not all right
Discard any fish, cooked or uncooked, after two days. One exception, of course, is freezing it, right after you buy it, or after you cook it; though, I don't think you would have a lot of the fresh taste left if you froze cooked fish. Haven't had any experience with that.
