William Shatner wants to join the "Enterprise" crew
and NO William Shatner jokes!!!!!!!

BEAM THEM UP, SCOTTY!: Man, we hope those Federation uniforms have elastic waistbands. According to Enterprise executive producer Rick Berman, Star Trek captain William Shatner has approached him with "a great story idea," in which (naturally) he'd play a prominent role. Although UPN says talks are underway with the actor — a regular on fall's Practice spin-off, Boston Legal — an insider at ABC, the network that currently signs his checks, counters that no formal offer has been made.

7. Why not?
The show is hopeless anyway. William Shatner is a joke but he could make things interesting if given a chance. Yes. I would like to see William Shatner on Enterprise.

BTW just rented "Mind Meld." Pathetically, I found it very interesting and recommend it highly to hardcore trekkies. I must admit it gave me a whole new respect for Shatner.

13. The part of William Shatner's hair will be played tonight by Chewbacca
Mixed sci-fi. :D

In all honesty, Shatner is one of my favorite actors. Not because he's good, but because watching him is actually fun. Plus he made the only film in Esperanto. :D

18. " Man, we hope those Federation uniforms have elastic waistbands."
The whole uniform is one big elastic waistband. I have a friend who was a grip on TNG, DS9, Voyager and the movie Generations. He says they all wear girdles so their manliness doesn't show in those tight uniforms.

And not just in a cheesey, nostalgic way- I sincerely think he is the most AWESOME space hero of all time.

Who else can tear his shirt, make an awesome, Shakespearean speech, GET LAID, AND save the universe in under an hour? NO ONE, I tells ya!

I vote YES!!!!

Matter of fact, I dont think any of the crew could do any of these decently, well, with the exception of Hoshi and that little vacation episode.

29. As long as Shatner sports a tribble on his head and the elastic holds
in his girdle, the chicks will swoon over him...

Glad to know that in the future they will be able to preserve us all as well as they have him! Heck, he doesn't look a day over seventy-four. That physique. Those rock hard abs. Why he could tow the Enterprise across SF Bay by a chain gripped in his teeth every year until he was 90! :)
