I've been wondering why I haven't been seeing the little mousey that runs through the apartment occasionally. Just found out why - he's been decomposing at the bottom of my trash can in the kitchen. Wasn't a detectable smell until I took the trash out tonight. And the thing is,I was gone all last week, and while I had trash in the bin I didn't have food, and for some reason I'd also left the top off. So this was the first time I took the trash out in about 10 days. Bet the little bastard died a week ago, judging by the decomposition. Sitting there under the cellulose bio-degradable garbage bag.

That'll teach the asshole to run up and down the blinds in the kitchen - which blinds are placed squarely over the trash bin. Which, as I mentioned, happened to have been open this time.

Pee-farqing-yew.

And HA HA!

on edit: let me also add that twice in my time in this apartment I've had other dead mice, and both of those times the little bastards died behind the refrigerator while I was away on vacation. What the hell is it with these damn things dying while I'm gone? At least this time it was easy to clean. Nothing sucks more than moving the fridge just for the pleasure of THEN having to remove a dead mouse. Trash can mouse I just upped the can and dumped him. Fridge mice I had to pick up.
