My cat likes tomato sauce-do your pets like any weird food?
We just polished off a pizza from one of my favorite local places (topped with tomoato sauce, pesto, fresh tomatoes, fresh mozz, and chicken. Reno was SCREAMING at me. Not for the chicken, though he wouldn't say no to that either. He LOVES tomato sauce. He just licked my pizza plate clean.

What weird people food do your pet love?

He'll try to lick my lips if I'm drinking it. I poured it into a saucer and he went to town.

43. Mine also likes popcorn. I had two that loved corn on the cob
I also had one that ate melons. I like the things at room temp. and the darn cat would just eat a big hole in it if I did not hide it.I also had a friend that gave her dog a joint and the dog loved it but I was wild. I thought the dog would die as it looked like it was having a fit.

She couldn't put any in her garden - the dog would get it if they didn't pay attention. Not just the cabbage, either. That dog loved fresh vegetables.

24. What beautiful kitties!
Coincidentally, my dogs just polished off the crust of the leftover pizza that I had for dinner. The little one, especially, went crazy for it.:9

They also love chicken and, especially, cheese. I just found out today that my 10 lb. wonder has to take thyroid medicine. I was worried about getting it into him, since he's so small that he's as difficult to pill as a cat. I told the vet that I can't even find his mouth, LOL! But I tried giving it to him in bits of cheese and he wolfed it down! The only problem is that the vet told me to eliminate cheese from his diet, since he's gained two pounds since I got him and that's a great deal for an 8 lb. dog!:spank:

My cocker spaniel was also extraordinarily fond of spaghetti sauce. I went through a Kraft Spaghetti Dinner period and, if I had that on the stove, she would refuse to eat her food unless I put a little of the sauce on it.:-)

33. OMG, your cat likes tomato sauce too?!
Which one, your black one? My black cat Nero loves tomato sauce! Every time I get pizza, he goes nuts. One time I made the mistake of leaving a half-full pizza box where he could get it, and I came back later to find he'd pushed all the toppings into a pile in the corner of the box, and licked almost all of the tomato sauce off the half-pizza that was left!

34. It's what they won't eat that scares me. It's chicken. Or...is it?
We've got 3 cats. Unrelated (to one another). Now and then I buy a barbecued chicken from the supermarket. It's got those yummy seasonings on the outside, but otherwise it's your basic chicken. We humans eat it.
The cats won't touch it. I don't mean the skin with the paprika and onion and whatever. I mean the hundred-percent chicken parts, dark meat, light meat, fat, lean---they want nothing to do with it.
Naturally I wonder whether we should be eating a bird that 3 cats passed up.

36. I feed my cats and dog nothing but pet food
I very rarely feed them table scraps, unless something hits the floor, then the dog's on it.

I prefer higher-end pet food, like Science Diet or Iams, but my cats do like the Whiskas pouches for their wet food supplement.

Feeding pets people food is a bad idea. It can be very unhealthy, and encourages begging and other obnoxious behavior. Not to mention my dog throws up almost everything but normal dog food.

41. You Betcha!
My dog will eat any vegetable, cooked or raw, except for raw cauliflower & celery. (He spits it out like it feels weird in his mouth or something.) He will eat salad WITH DRESSING on it!

Also, when my wife cooks anything italian, he will ALWAYS eat the pieces of garlic bread first. Meat or clam sauce can wait! The garlic bread is always the first thing he gulps down.

One day, i scallopinied some veal, and my wife made sauce and noodles, and asparagus. The little bit that was left on our plates was combined. The dog ate the bread, then the asparagus, then the meat, then the noodles. Yes, he ate the asparagus before he ate the meat!

One of our dearly departed kitties used to be a tomato sauce nut, too! Actually two of them, now that i think of it. So, i can certainly understand what you're talking about.
The Professor
