Yeah, that's right, I dropped acid with Pippi Longstocking. She was seventeen and totally freaking hot (and totally freaky). We had almost the same birthday, too, IIRC.

I was reading a Leary book (IIRC) and they mentioned how they thought that turning on the Right-wingers would do them some good. Ends up they went from pot (which never seemed to have an effect on them) to worse drugs like heroin or coke.

he was a subject (victim) of the CIA's MK-Ultra program, poisoned with LSD while he was working at a mental hospital. After that, he wrote One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test was written about him.

Even more than Leary or Hoffman, he was the father of the psychedelic movement.

backstage was kinda like being fenced in and unable to roam (which I did a lot of)

seeing Janis closeup and actually talking to her (though she was too amazed at the crowd to respond) was very cool

I would say Wavy Gravy's Hog Farm encampment and its free kitchen were the best (along with the skinny dipping)

it was like tripping (withour drugs) with half a million groovy people and having the biggies playing for you RIGHT THERE!

Santana was the best set IMHO altho crosby stills and nash kicked musical ass (I missed richie havens - who played first) because our fan belt broke. But the guy who fixed us told us the back way in otherwise we would have missed the whole shebang.
