Screw the Good Morning.
I pride myself on being a happy person most of the time. A person that you can come to when you're in a bad mood, (and maybe though I'm not in the best mood ever) I'd do anything to try to cheer you up. Well, I can't this morning. This is the second morning in a row that I've been sick and late for work. I'm too ashamed to say it's because I was stuck waiting at my house for an extra 30 minutes BOTH MORNINGS because the damn cab company is a piece of shit. I'm working my ass off trying to save up for a car, but that's a little hard to do when your crazy ass roommate steals $500. Not to mention the fact that one of your roommates went to Texas for months and the psycho one is living with her boyfriend. Leaving the bills to (you guessed it) MOI. Yes, everyone has their problems. And yes, at least I have my life. But damnit, I'm going to have an ulcer and gray hair by the time I'm 19 (just a short 3 months away). Grrrr. So pardon me if I don't say good morning. But you can still have a :donut:.

23. On the west coast.
My roommate was great, his brother was not. We were in the Navy in the same ship group and deployed for 6 mos and the brother would stay and take care of the apartment. Came to find he was stealing from us, didn't pay the bills, and left a financial mess for us to clean up. He was sleeping in his car, found later to be out of reach as we found stuff out. I got a new place about 3 wks later. For compensation, I took the TV and speakers. Then got a call from the local cops, the family back home was looking for him. I told the detective that I didn't know and didn't care where or what happened to the sorry bastard.

That's the story, the short version.

But this was about 15 years ago. I should've beat the crap out of him then, but, I didn't.

I have to go to work. Always glad to see you! Have a coke, but, of course--no doughnut for you! :P (I wondered how I'd get that line in there)

Hang in there!

24. (meek, barely audible voice) good morning...
Things will get better, they can only go south for so long before they turn. Sucks that your roommates are so irresponsible and dishonest. As I recall, at least one of them isn't too bright, as well. Hey, I offered to help you out with her (Ship her down here, we'll give her a Texas style reception!). Good luck-good things do happen to good people!:hi:

I really appreciate it! Things have started to get better, you guys are helping me out a lot this morning, I really appreciate it. And I can't believe you remembered! :D The stupid one is the one who stole the money. And trust me, if I could find her, I'd beat her THEN ship her down there so she'd have to ride uncomfortably!

33. You're really something else, you know?
You've got a great sense of responsibilty, drive & a lot of common sense for one so young. Life can be a struggle for everyone. You don't HAVE to be bright & chipper all the time. I bet even Mother Theresa had her off days. I hope your folks know what a great kid they have. You will come through. Love, P

Thank you so much for taking the time. Seriously. It's nice to be told that you're worthy ocassionally. Unfortunately, I don't have a good relationship with either parent so I don't even think they know what kind of kid I am really. Oh well. Thank you again though.

36. Just out of curiousity ...
Where do you live that you take a cab to work? When I lived in NYC, I never had a car; but, there, everyone takes the bus and subway to work. Now that I'm in Denver, I need a car.

37. Close to Knoxville, TN.
It's about 7 miles to my work from my house. The bus only runs in the city limits (I'm pretty sure) and it doesn't have a place close to my house where it would pick me up. Cabs aren't that common around here, but it was pretty much my only option. I have to be at work at 6:30 every morning and it's not easy for me to inconvenience people like that. Are you having any luck with getting a car?

39. I hate it when that happens
I've been the same way the last couple days. I don't want to get up and can't get to work on time. I can't blame the cab company. It must be my bosses fault for not motivating me. :D

You should sleep in some day and start these morning threads later. Like at 11am Eastern Time.
