It's from a band called 'Badly Drawn Boy' and the song is called 'Year of the Rat'

Basically the video is of a (badly drawn) boy and his (badly drawn) dog who walk around and find people angry and yelling and fighting. He walks up to them and hugs them and they stop being angry and give in to the love the boy is showing them.

There's scenes that seem to touch on healing the wounds between Ireland and England, North and South Korea and other places where people are fighting.

I know its kinda sappy to fall in love with a music video, but the song has a beautiful chorus and it all just...fits.

Anyone else seen this video and get the same warm vibe from it?

But I like Badly Drawn Boy a lot. He writes some great songs. He's folky but without being twee and contrived like a lot of the modern guys who go that route. He's got a lot of great stuff.

5. If you get a chance,

get hold of his first album, "The Hour of Bewilderbeast". It won a shedload of awards here in the UK and rightly so, it's a beautfiul album.

Mind you, I saw him at the Brixton Academy in South London and he's clearly got kangaroos loose in the top paddock, if you see what I mean. He seemed to spend most of the night kicking his microphone stand over and then having to go and pick it up again......

"the hour of bewilderbeast" is my favorite. then the "about a boy" soundtrack. "have you fed the fish?" was eh...okay. "..bewilderbeast" is a hard act to follow.
