Who you calling yellow? And the Tour de France GC leader is... |
|
at least on the course, Lance Armstrong.
The wonderfully spunky Thomas Voeckler couldn't maintain it today, so it will finally pass to the five-time winner, with Ivan Basso continuing to stay with Armstrong every step of the way.
Cheers to Thomas Voeckler for giving this Tour a hell of a ride!

2. Armstrong outsprints Basso to win the stage. |
|
Basso will be about 1:15 down, I think.
What a day tomorrow should be on L'Alpe d'Huez!

What a run! The bakery boys have a heck of a future between Voeckler and Chavanel.

Definite kudos to Voeckler - What a gutty competitor? And so young.
Basso looks good too, so hopefully we'll see him push Lance all the way, but not quite beat him.
GO LANCE GO!

7. Yeah, Lance has the full package, but Voeckler's the kind of guy we all... |
|
love to root for. I hope Basso puts some pressure on tomorrow, so the last TT means something, that's for sure.
